TSmitty Ran Down the Shore for a Cure
TOTAL AS OF 4/26: More than my goal of $1500!!!!!!
Thank you so much for all of your support. Check out the photos on the Photos page... I RAN- really ran- the Jersey Shore 10 Mile Run on April 25th to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through their Team in Training Program. Thank you to all who helped me make a difference in the lives of people battling deadly blood cancers like my friend's father Irving and in remembering people like my friend's friend Eric Sellers. Eric grew up in Buffalo, New York, graduated from Maryland in 1998, and from GW with a masters in health services administration in 2001. He was diagnosed with Hodgkins in July 2000. After a 4 year battle, of many ups and downs, he passed away in February of 2004. He is survived by his mother, father, brother, and grandmother. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® (TNT) is the world's largest endurance sports training program. In exchange for training and support, I raised money toward cures for leukemia, the leading disease killer of children; Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, the largest group of blood cancers; and myeloma, a nearly incurable cancer that particularly strikes the elderly and African Americans.
